We’re kicking off our February meeting with the Annual General Meeting (AGM), a brief but meaningful opportunity for members to hear updates, elect board members, and help guide the guild for the coming year. Your participation — whether you’re voting, volunteering, or simply showing support — keeps our community strong, active, and member-driven.
After the AGM, long-time member Larry Stevenson will take the floor to demonstrate how he creates his striking three-dimensional geometric quilted pieces. His unique surface treatment brings depth, pattern, and visual movement to turned forms, and his willingness to share his process is a perfect example of members teaching members. This is a great chance to learn something new, get inspired, and see advanced techniques up close.

And the evening doesn’t end there — we’ll also have the Instant Gallery and the President’s Challenge. These are always highlights of our meetings and a great way to celebrate the creativity and craftsmanship within our guild.
Be sure to bring your pieces! Whether you’re sharing a recent turning, experimenting with a new technique, or responding to the challenge theme, your participation adds energy and inspiration to the room.
This is shaping up to be a full, lively, and inspiring meeting — AGM, a feature demo from a long-time member, and two opportunities to showcase your own work. We hope to see you there for an evening of learning, creativity, and community.
New members and guests are always welcome.
